For Colored Boys Who Have Considered Colored Girls When What Was Wasn't Enough
Play Synopsis
Written by Jesse Alick Cameron and inspired by For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide/When the Rainbow is Enuf by Ntozake Shange, For Colored Boys Who Have Considered Colored Girls When What Was Wasn't Enough explores the treatment of black women by black men from the men’s perspective.
A tattered black woman toy, metaphorical of the black woman as a play thing for black men is cornered into a little a shiver as black men of various background, class and sexuality trash her, each believing they know what her problem is or what is best for her.
