ADONG JUDITH RELEASES SONG ON COVID-19: “EARTH ANGELS”
Silent Voices Uganda Artistic Director Adong Judith and celebrated Ugandan Musician Kaz Kasozi have added their voice to the COVID-19 fight through the United Nations Global Call Out To Creatives - help stop the spread of COVID-19 by releasing a song dubbed “Earth Angels”.
"Earth Angels" highlights some of the world’s most heroic acts of kindness across continents. Inspired by The Guardian Opinion Article by George Monbiot titled: The Horror films got it wrong. This virus has turned us into caring neighbours.
The Song was written by Adong Judith; composed by both Adong Judith and Kaz Kasozi; Performed by Kaz Kasozi and Sharon Asinde. The Cover Image was designed by Ronex Ahimbisibwe and the graphics designed by Quincy Katiti.
Since we are in unprecedented times, every one worked on the music in their respective homes and places of work without physical meeting. Even the pre-test samples and feedback from our trusted collaborators, friends, family turned audience including Lucy Chihandae, Lora Lucky Atwiine, Ssebaggala Andrew Lwanga, Odong Andrew, Acan Flavia Kilama, and Adong’s mom Cecelia Acan that made the music better, also worked online. It was an amazing creative experience itself.
We at Silent Voices Uganda have the pleasure to bring the song to you here on our website; please listen and spread as widely as possible.
Feel free to use the music as sound track for anything COVID-19 related campaign complete free (pro bono); We only urge you to credit the authors of the music as expected and add the partners and hashtags below as you share.
